Come get some shooting in and listen to the sweet ring of the steel, bring a
Dueling trees, falling plate racks, steel men at different yardages, double dueling tree- so much fun!
Guests will need to sign a Liability, donation of $5.00 collected
Safety eyeglasses and hearing protection is required.

October 15, 2022Skowhegan Sportsman’s Club Rifle Match
857 East River Road, Skowhegan, Maine
9:30 a.m. Registration, Begins: 10:00 a.m. –High Power Rifle Match
It is very similar to a John Garand Match which are held by the Civilian Marksmanship Program
Rifles will be fired at 100 yards. Any caliber except 50 BMG and 338 Lapua may be fired
Shots will be fired on a N.R.A. SR-1 target.
Additional Bonus Matches may take place if everyone wishes
Standard Course of fire:
5 sighting shots from the prone or bench position in five minutes.
15 shots slow fire from prone or bench position in 15 minutes
10 rounds of rapid fire from prone or bench position in 70 seconds. A reload will be required.
10 shots slow fire offhand for all categories.
Additional rules:
You may shoot off of the Bench if needed, we want everyone to have fun!
All standard safety rules apply.
Benched rifles may be supported on the front by a sandbag or bipod. The butt of the rifle will be in the shooters shoulder without additional support.
Prone scoped rifles may be supported on the front by a sandbag or bipod. The butt of the rifle will be in the shooters shoulder without additional support.
Iron sighted prone rifles will not be allowed additional support other that of a shooting sling. Any ties will be settled offhand on a steel gong.
